At the meeting, VNU President Le Quan extended his sincere thanks to the Irish Embassy for its connections and support for VNU in establishing and implementing cooperative activities with Irish educational institutions. VNU has signed bilateral cooperation agreements with the University of Dublin, Trinity University, the University of Cork, Dublin Institute of Technology and Pacific Land. Since 2018, VNU has coordinated with the University of Dublin to implement the VIBE project on improving innovation capacity and entrepreneurial thinking for VNU staff and lecturers and to spread it to other educational institutions throughout the country. In recent years, VNU, the Irish Embassy and Irish partners have strongly developed diverse and in-depth cooperation through many exchange and cooperation programs to improve staff capacity and implement joint training and research projects.
VNU President Le Quan hoped that, in the coming time, Ms. Deirdre Ní Fhallúin and the Irish Embassy in Vietnam would continue to support and connect VNU with Irish universities and businesses, to enhance the capacity development efforts as well as to provide high quality services to society. In addition, the Irish side will support young lecturers and scientists from VNU to participate in short-term training courses and carry out joint research projects.

Ambassador Deirdre Ní Fhallúin highly appreciated the results of the cooperation between VNU and Irish partners in recent years in training, scientific research and innovation, especially the effectiveness of the VIBE program. She believed that, in the coming period, VNU and Irish organizations could build joint training and research projects in social sciences and humanities, innovation and entrepreneurship, environmental protection, climate change, sustainable development, medicine, etc.
At the meeting, the two sides discussed the developing of high-quality training programs and the expanding of exchange activities for officials, lecturers and students.
