VNU Vice President Nguyễn Hoàng Hải attended and had a speech at the event.

Currently, there are about 800 foreign students attending either short or full length courses, which helps strengthen VNU’s prestige among the international community.

The event is held annually and has become an occasion for VNU’s students, both Vietnamese and foreign, to exchange with one another as well as help tighten cooperative ties between Vietnamese and international staff and students.

Speaking at the event, VNU Vice President Nguyễn Hoàng Hải sent his best wishes for a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to VNU’s international lecturers and students.

VNU Vice President Nguyễn Hoàng Hải stated that, this year, VNU had been listed among the top 150 best Asian universities and ranked 62th for the ratio of international students.

He hoped that foreign students would contribute more to the developing of VNU’s international student community.

VNU’s Vietnamese and international students brought to the feast a multicultural performance with enticing songs and dances.

Lee San, a Korean undergraduate at VNU International School, shared: “I am happy and proud to take part in VNU’s New Year welcoming event. This is a meaningful present for me and other foreign students. I always find myself studying in a truly international environment, where I can develop both language and professional knowledge”.

Lee San said he always received an enthusiastic support from VNU’s lecturers and students, which made him feel quite at home. He was also actively involved in various extracurricular activities including those of clubs, competitions, volunteers…

Lee San also wished to continue with his postgraduate studies at VNU after graduation.
