11. Summary of the new findings of the thesis:

- The thesis contributes to enrich and deepen some basic contents of the thoughts on people in the pre-Qin Confucism such as the concept of people, the role and position of people, the responsibility of the king and the feudal state to the people. On that basis, the thesis clarifies the influence of the pre-Qin Confucianist thoughts on the people to the thoughts of people in Vietnamese history of thoughts from the 11th century to the first half of the 19th century through the views of some Confucianists, kings and Vietnamese thinkers in this period.

- The thesis affirms the values of thoughts on the people in the history of Vietnamese thoughts from the 11th century to the first half of the 19th century and draws meanings in the Party's lesson of "taking people as root" in the current period. The thoughts on the people in the history of Vietnamese thoughts have left many values and lessons that today we need to learn, inherit and apply creatively in the cause of national construction and development toward the target "rich, strong, democratic, fair and civilized people".

- The research results in the thesis can be used as reference material, serving for teaching, researching and learning about Confucianism in general, Confucianism in Vietnam in particular and Vietnam's history of thoughts. The thesis can also become reference material for related majors.

13. Further research directions, if any:

- The content and humanistic meaning of thoughts on the people in Chinese Confucianism and Vietnamese Confucianism.

- Meaning and lessons from experience of the thoughts of Chinese Confucianism and Vietnamese Confucianism in building and perfecting the relationship between the Party and the masses, in building and perfecting the state mechanism of the people, by the people and for the people.

- Political and social thoughts of Confucianism and its meaning.
